Cigarettes contain propylene glycol.

Propylene glycol is an organic compound commonly used as a humectant and solvent in cigarettes. 

In addition, it is used as a flavoring agent for cigarettes and as a solvent for nicotine. In some cigarettes, the content of propylene glycol can be as high as 70%.
